Candy Crush Saga is one of the most popular games I've played. Now, just to show how addicted I am to the game:

    1. I am now on level 445, and
    2. I've spent over $100 (maybe even $200) on this "free" game through in-app purchases and Facebook credits.
    3. Most of those purchases went to lollipop hammers, though I bought the 3 permanent extra lives power-up, too.

What about you? Do you play? If so, what level are you on now, how much money did you spend on the game (approximately), and if you did spend money on it, what did you buy?

Yes, I play CCS almost every day. First thing in the morning w/my coffee on my iPhone - but I'm finding that it's slightly easier for me to play the more difficult levels on the laptop.

Right now I'm on Level 102 - you have to bring down the ingredients but you have the bottom with chocolate goo and on top of that, the bombs to diffuse before they explode.

As far as spending money to play - I refuse to. I may ask my friends on FB for extra lives on occasion but usually when I run out I simply wait until later in the day or the next morning to play. If I run out of moves and I'm almost done with the level, oh well. I'll just have another opportunity to keep trying.

Main reason I don't spend money at the Yeti Shop is because I simply don't have it to spare. I can spend that same amount of money elsewhere and it'll do more good, so to speak. Besides, that 99 cents here and there can really add up over time (same reason I have not boughts apps from Apple's App store or iTunes - I can usually find something comparable to what I want for free.)

This is the main reason why I'm down to about $11 in iTunes store credit, whereas I started out with $100+. Candy Crush Saga, The Simpsons: Tapped Out and The Sims Freeplay are the main culprits.

I'm stuck on 105.Grrrr-and when I use my free lives,it finishes early-I end up with a bomb stuck in a corner. When I don't use it,it leaves me with just 1-2 turns left. It's almost as if it knows :P

i am at level 266. i have spent less than 5 dollars on the game, usually on the 5 extra moves, and even then i only would do it when the very next move would pass the level.

DragonVale is still the best "freemium" game out there. i dont think i have ever spent cash on it in the almost 2 years ive played. i have spent cash on My little Pony, and transformers:legends though.

Haven't spent a dime and quit at level 101, I was done with the trolling the game was doing to me.

I'm on level 80 after playing a couple of weeks. Spent maybe $10 at most? It's an evilly addicting game...And the money mostly goes when I've played a level multiple times, have hit three stars, and literally need just one more move to win.

Level 130 and haven't spent a penny on it. The fact that it's all luck, with no skill involved, irritates the piss out of me. As it goes on and the obstacles keep piling on, it just gets more annoying, to boot.

I'm around 118 (stuck again... Dead Again?). Hmmm, anyone want to join me as it were? I have only one friend actively playing, so if anyone wants to join me, just poke Javataur over there.

Never played it. Find the whole thing amusing.

My older sister is currently addicted to it. She is somewhere in the low 100s, if I recall her last status regarding it correctly.

My little sister finished the entire game a few months ago. Then decided to take up something a bit less addictive: crack cocaine, with a heroin chaser.

Funny you should mention crack: that's pretty much what one of my coworkers said about CCS to our former SM a few weeks back.

Several of us were in the breakroom at lunchtime and Goldie (our Grocery Manager) was playing a level on her iPhone. Naitch asked her about it and she commented that it was more addictive than crack!

Yes, I have several coworkers who play. I think it was at least 6 of us at last count.

I played it for a bit but it just got frustratingly repetitive. I refuse to spend money on it. I'll spend my money on MWO.
I'd tell you where to go, but I work there and I don't want to see you everyday.

I'm on level something-or-other. Chapter three or four ish.

Haven't played for months. It's boring. It's the same thing over and over, in a game format that's exactly the same in hundreds of other games.

And everyone I tell I'm bored of it has replied with 'how can it be boring with the suspense of attempted completion?' Etc etc.

The only other FB games I played were the Game of Thrones one and Hidden Chronicles (meh) and Sims Social and Simcity (got shut down because EA). I don't spend money on online games since the fiasco of the latter. I need something more than matching rows of three to entertain me. Aside from PC and console, Collapse is good, Mah-Jongg solitaire's better. Imo.
