That is one of many places I'm looking into. One big advantage: I could meet the awesome Jester in his home environment.
    Lucky you.

Blas, if you do head out to AZ, let me know. I can probably offer you some suggestions, pointers, or advice, depending on where you'd be heading to.

    • Jesters beautiful pictures (aka gloating) have inspired me to share the view from. Since it was finally nice this weekend we walked up to the post office and coffee shop this morning, and this is what I saw:

This is the river I live on (further down.). It never really freezes because it moves too fast. It froze twice this year

This is my son walking, no that's not an illusion, the snow banks are around 8' high this year!

          • I can't complain about yesterday and today. Yesterday was in the mid 40s F. Today will be around 40 F.

However I can, and will complain about tomorrow. 3-6 inches of snow here. At least I'm not in Southern MN where they're expected to get a foot of that shit.

The only thing that is keeping me going, with this bullshit winter, is the cruise I'm planning on taking in late April. Jesterville, here I come (for a few hours anyway).

              • 3-6? Try 8-12 plus

                • Oh, it's been beautiful for the past couple of days here, too. Now, I'm set for anywhere between 2 and 9 inches...depending on when the rain switches over to snow overnight. Schools are already cancelled in the area. My boss already called and told me not to worry about going in tomorrow. Yay! Snow day! Is winter over yet?

                    I feel your pain.

It looks like we're going to get even less now, if any at all here in central MN. After helping the new owner chisel ice and remove water from the area around the gas tanks the last couple of days, no new snow is a good thing.

                    • I'm not even checking the weather updates anymore. They keep raising the potential snowfall every few hours.

For now, I'm just going to wait with my damn shovel and hope and pray that our useless city workers actually clean up in good time for the weekend. The last time we got this much snow, this area was practically crippled for a day or two, which shouldn't happen in a place where stuff like this is the norm.

                      • It's still a cold rain here right now, but the snow is coming. Between 8 and ten inches of it. I probably could've gone into work this morning, but boss told me not to last night. That's alright. This is what I save my vacation hours for. God that osunds pathetic now that I type it out...anyway... let it snow and hopefully this is the last big blast although I highly doubt it will be.

                            • Yeah, I made my quick errands yesterday before the drizzle started, and the snow started around 3 or 4.

My car has been and is going to stay stuck until tomorrow My dad won't even help me, so there's no way I'm doing it myself.
