Sat we took 16 boxes of our belongings to the Post Office and arranged to have them shipped to our new address.(I will say the price tag of that could have been worse. Thank goodness for Book Rate. We had 6 boxes of books and they wound up costing us around $14 each.)
My BF had been trying to get a hold of a certain guy to tow his motorcycle for 3 days and the guy wasn't answering the calls or returning the calls. He needed the motorcycle towed today at 11am. So I looked up tow companies in the area and started calling around for someone who could tow a motorcycle on Sunday morning. One tow company referred me to someone who "tows motorcycles all the time." I called the number they gave me, told them where we were, where it was going and the guy told me to call an hour before we need him to be here. So BF was able to get his motorcycle to the guy he sold it to.
Meanwhile we got more boxes, because we need to be able to ship our monitors with our computers, went grocery shopping, grabbed a few things at the store that are only found in HI, like Li Hing powder, and then went out to dinner at our favorite Thai place. I took the chance to have Thai iced tea as I don't know how easy it will be to find in LA.
