Ok, for all of you who know more about comics/super heroes than I do...
Stargirl from DC is another good example of a hero completely dependent on an item. If she is separated from her staff, she's just a normal human. Actually, I think DC may have the edge in number of item based heroes. Shining Knight and Crimson Avenger are another couple of good examples. And don't get me started on the magic using superheroes like Dr. Fate and Dr. Strange....
Or how about this one: Dial H for Hero.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.
There are other's as well. Just the tip of the ice berg (Some are not in the Marvel/DC universes either...some are): Nightwing, Ben 10, Power Rangers. Then there are a semi unique duo that need each other : The Wonder Twins. Apart they can not activate their power. Many various types of superheroes, which is a good thing.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.
