  • First World Problems

One of my coworkers and her husband are moving back up north. As such, they have been selling and giving some stuff away. She gave me an almost full bottle of Fireball and a small box of Pinot Grigio. Problem: I don't have room in the fridge for it, what with all my beer, other wine, produce, etc. Plus I share the fridge with two other guys, i.e. my roommates. But as I said, I don't have room in the fridge for these two items, and am going to have to get clever to make them fit, as either one warm is rather unappetizing.

What's your latest First World Problem?

I had a large tree branch (AKA 1/4 of a tree) fall into my driveway, and my chainsaw is at my brothers. I either have to drive three hours to my brothers and three back, to get my chainsaw, or take a few hours with an axe to get this thing into small enough pieces to put in the wood pile. Poor, poor me.
Pain and suffering are inevitable...misery is optional.

Go with the axe. Better workout, and less gas used.

The sun doesn't hit enough of my balcony in the evenings for me to tan after work.

Hydrotherapy would be extremely good for me and I hate using public pools, and we have absolutely NO WAY we can afford a pool of our own: much less one heated to warm-water hydrotherapy standards.

Do I spend the ~$1000 it'll cost to break my lease early, or do I stay with the apartment management that I am coming to loathe until November?

The "find my iPhone" app on my iPad isn't working so I can't be as bitchy as I want to be when my boys get their butts home after having left without telling me.

First world problem from last week that has since been solved: Trader Joe's was out of Maple and Brown Sugar shredded wheat cereal. It was some sort of distribution problem and they were out for weeks. It was a very rough few weeks in the mathnerd household.

I have yet to find a dairy company who makes lactose free half and half. I'm tired of taking lactaid pills just to have coffee.

I mismanaged dinners this week and we had to have steak three nights in a row to use it up.

Until my chum pops round to assist, I can't attach the second unit to the wall and have to look at an unfinished project in the sitting room.

Update: I have managed, through the drinking of various items, to get both the Fireball and the wine into the fridge.

New First World problem: the fridge is jammed with stuff, and it's gonna be tough finding specific items for cooking.

Also, my dopey roommate who bitches to high heaven when I run the dishwasher but don't empty it in a timely fashion thereafter, ran the dishwasher yesterday before it was even full, and has yet to empty it.
