  • I can has associate of arts degree?

Yes. Yes, I can has. I earned it today, in fact. I learned me some books, put up with several pointless classes including an Intro to Biology class that was like a weeks-long out-of-body experience, and I earned that thing. I am edumacated. I have, even though I will not be prancing along in cap and gown in the procession, for all intents and purposes, gradumalated.

In two weeks I start the social work program at a local university. The only downside? Their Intro to Social Work program is specifically designed to weed out the people who don't belong in it, so I'm a bit intimidated.

    Whee.

But at any rate, a chapter of life has closed, and another is about to open.

Just in case, you know, you were wondering where I'd been here lately and all.

Congrats on the Piece of Paper! Make sure a copy goes to HR to be put in your file--it'll help with salary negotiations down the road.
Everything will be ok in the end. If it's not ok, it's not the end.

You now have more formal qualifications than I do.

Congratulations from a university dropout. (To be fair, I got sick.)

Congratulations!!! Very best wishes towards your goal. From your posts, I assume that you will make a good and caring social worker or counselor.

I'm starting back to school next month (yes, I'm taking a class over the summer). It's taken me years (I have a certificate but no degree), and I hope soon to make a similar announcement to yours.

Congratulations! I know you can do it (and Intro to Social Work isn't that bad...just remember, as my Intro teacher said all the time...People Matter!)
