    My girlfriend never got anything for mother's day that she didn't buy herself.

    Last year (our first together) I dropped a lot of money (more than I could really afford -- literally emptied my bank account) on an enormous bouquet of flowers and signed the card "WE LOVE YOU MOM!!! Love, [kid 1] [kid 2] [kid 3]"

      Hell, whenever I get flowers for my mom for Mother's Day or her birthday, I always sign the card from all of us & that includes the 'boys' (Min-Pins Tymex & Rowlex) the chihuahua, Selena & the guinea pig, Piggy)

      and YES, Piggy is my child, furry she may be & Ty & Row are my brothers just as if mom had given birth to them
