Yes ladies and gentlemen,for one night only,I get the chance to stay in the beautiful Village of Beer.From my hotel room I can actually see down onto Beer Beach.
Down the edge of the main street flows the Stream of Beer.. and the plaques on the benches proudly announce that they are sponsored by the 'Friends of Beer'.
It's rather genteel actually,all very thatched cottages and hanging baskets-rather strange road names (Billy Goat's Gruff,the Pig Path,Four Winds Blow anyone?) with honesty boxes for the car park and a rather strange sign next to the village shop saying 'For free milk,just knock...'
