My sister-in-law is having surgery this morning to remove a cancerous growth from her lung. There is a possibility the esopagus may also be involved.

She will lose part of her lung, or she may lose the whole lung.
Prayers, please for the best possible results for her.

My brother is also off work having both knees replaced.

It is a very rough time for them.

The surgery went well, as far as I know.
They had to remove the whole lung "just to be safe" in my brother's words.

Got a double whammy yesterday, though.
I found out that my late husband's BIL was just diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.
They think they can operate and get all of it, though, so that's good.

The hits just keep on coming.
