    me and my sister ended up playing a weird trivia game on facebook the other night:

    1. this show had an actor go on to play santa and another to voice a lion.
    2. this show had actors that played a serial killer, a hitman, a cyborg and a talking cat on other shows
    3. one person now has a talk show, another went on to be batman and a third hosts a game show
    4. in this show kids got trapped on an island and were attacked by monsters and had to fight a devil? then an elvis impersonator followed by a vampire
    5. this guy's life got flipped upside down
    6. in this show the girl lived next door to her stalker and her family kept letting him come over.
    7. this show about 3 guys and one girl running a detective agency one dressed like magnum pi and another like indiana jones.

      This actor played a low-ranking sailor on one series, then went on to command his own vessel on another.Unsolved Gavin McLeod - played Happy on "McHale's Navy", and later Captain Stubing on "The Love Boat" (original series, not the remake)

      This actor played a time-traveler on one series, then accidentally killed himself (gun was loaded with BLANKS) while filming another. - Jon-Erik Hexum, series are Voyagers and Cover Up, solved by Gilhelmi.

      This female character was played by a male actor back in the '50s-'60s, and there wasn't a big uproar about corrupting children.Unsolved Lassie - from what I've heard, it's because male collies have better-looking coats

      For the unsolved ones, highlight after the word "Unsolved" to get the answer (OP has posted the answers to theirs).

          Almost - it was Voyagers. He died on the set of Cover Up. Apparently he didn't realize that at contact range, the gas cloud from a blank can inflict significant damage. At the time, there was controversy over the lack of safety precautions - the scene he had just filmed involved loading blanks, and it could have been done with an inert substance that looked like gunpowder, but they used the real stuff.

          He's not the only actor to be killed by a blank round. I believe it was Bruce Lee Jr. who was on a set when a changeover was made between dummy rounds (bullet and deprimed case - no powder) for a close-up scene and blanks for an action scene. One of the dummy rounds wasn't fully accounted for - they found the case but not the bullet. What happened to the bullet? Somehow it had got dislodged from the case and seated in the breech end of the barrel. Needless to say, the first blank fired from that gun had the effect of a live round.

                          1. This show is way more popular in the UK than in Australia, despite being made in Australia. (They get it about 6? weeks behind)

                          2. This show once had versions in Australia, the UK, the US, South Africa and Sweden.

                          3. THIS show is still running, but has also had Australian and UK versions, which were much less successful.

                              1. This show managed to outlive Chicago Hope (which it was up against at the time)
                              2. Has managed to outlive its original show along with all the other spinoffs.
                              3. Was originally set up as a spinoff to another show, but now has 2 other spinoffs of its own and 1 of those spinoffs had planned to have its OWN spinoff but was canned.
