  • I'm tired of being read wrong.

My younger cousin's birthday party is coming up,and I was asked to go in on a birthday gift. Well, I found out the cost and I divided the cost between 2 people and pointed out if we did xxx amount each it was doable. Well, they read me wrong....again. My older cousin said I was "reluctant" going in. I NEVER said that. He said its a "vibe" he got. He said he felt I didn't want to do it and I had a "problem" with putting money in. Uh, if I had a problem with helping out, why would I "lend" out over half of my inheritence for:

    1. Min bulldog my younger cousins wanted but now ignores
    2. Vet bill for my aunt's shih-tzu's broken jaw to get fixed because he picked a fight with one of our larger dogs
    3. A carberrator for my uncle's car because of poor maintenance
    4. Car rental to replace said cat while it was being repaired
    5. On a howdy doody venqulitrist doll STILL sitting in its box. It got used maybe... One time?
    6. Mattress for my older cousin

At least I got to use it on...ONE trip to Disneyland.

If I seem pissed I am. Fine. If they don't want me to go in now on the gift, it's TOO LATE to ask me now....

    I'll get paid back....eventually..

if he's gonna be like that just tell him to take your share out of what he owes you.

Whatever's left of your inheritance, I hope you hang onto every penny. These people are ungrateful as hell.

Could be he was planning on telling you how much he wanted from you for your share rather than having you find out how much it actually cost so that he didn't have to pay as much as you did? Which might explain why he reacted like he did when you had all the information.
