    A headless snowman

    Al and I were coming back from the store when we passed some yards with snowmen.

    There were cute ones, regular ones...

    And a headless one with a scarf as if the head had simply been lifted up and off.

    There was no sign of its head on the ground. It was just gone.


    Anyone find any unusual snowmen this season?


    As a side note, we also saw a one eyed snowman.

        We made a snowman but it was mysteriously beheaded during the night.

        Not sure if it insulted ISIS, ran afoul of a cartel or simply failed to give the snow king a son.

          I found a place where you can get a 3-d printer pattern for a mold to make miniature snowmen, a la Calvin and Hobbes. If we reliably got any significant amount of snowfall even once a year I'd so have gotten a copy of it made so I could make an army of tiny snowmen any time it snowed.

            Nah. Calvin would have a headless snowman actually DOING something, like looking for his missing head.

                May I take the opportunity to say this is the funniest thing I've read all day?

                There's one snowman on the block with a comically SMALL head..... as in the size of a snowball..... I'm pretty sure they did it on purpose.

                Someone else had one with a pirate motif going, hat, eyepatch, peg leg and cutlass, it was clever. Then it fell over one night. I was tempted to take the cutlass out of his stick hand and jam it in his back, with a note "This be the fate of scurvy mutineers!" but, I was on the clock...
                - They say nothing good happens at 2AM, they're right, I happen at 2AM.
