  • All I want is a cheap Ding Dong and a Baby Ruth that doesn't cost the earth....

So some of the local sweet shops now have American products on sale.Yippee I can get my fix of Baby Ruth and Three Musketeers and Lucky Charms.
Apart from it burning a hole in my wallet...
    M&Ms or Skittles-£1.80 a bag!
    Candy bars-£2 each.
    Lucky Charms-£7 a box!!
And boxes of Twinkies or Ding Dongs-£12 A BOX!!

If anyone knows where to get them cheaper,it would be muchly appreciated.I'm sure it would even be cheaper to have them flung in a box and shipped over here.

If anyone wants to,I'll happily pay for them.... drop me a PM

WOW! That's super expensive! If Google is correct, that box of Lucky Charms would be over $10.00 here in the U.S.

    They're more like $3 - $4...

Have you tried Amazon? They're a bit more expensive than normal but still not as bad as those prices!

It's the same in Aussieland. I haven't been able to find twinkles or ding dongs, but a number of convenience stores sell a small smattering of American lollies and other goodies...for hideously inflated prices.
At least getting stuff over here is easier than back in my hometown. Back in my hometown, the best I could get locally were Hershey bars and reeses peanut butter cups, if I wanted anything else, I had to go into the city. Over here, the local convenience store sells a small smattering of American lollies and goodies.
There is also a shop in sydney that's devoted to UK lollies.

Can you come up with Russian Caravan tea? How about Coffee Crisps? We might be able to work something out.

I love Baby Ruth bars, too

I have to ask, though; wouldn't the shipping from the U.S. to U.K. be pretty pricey? You might end up paying the same total either way.

Don't know where you've sourced your information, but Canada is part of the Commonwealth and we have no such regulation. Quite the opposite - Marmite is considered hazardous waste, and must be neutralized with a minimum of 10x its mass in Poutine.

So that's why Oreos in Canadia taste cheesy.

In Canada, Saputo makes all the Hostess stuff in its own bakeries, so I don't think that our Twinkies are that expensive.

We also have Vachon, a company that makes Passion Flakie, Jos Louis and 1/2 Jos Louis.

I have no problem getting Russian Caravan in the US - I order from Stash Teas. I prefer it to Twinings gutter sweepings.

What I am jonesing for is musk sticks =(

I prefer to do junk food exchanges =) Frequently the shipping will be worlds cheaper and someone down under gets some US junk food they want as well
