    We here at CS make it a point to treat those in the service industry with respect until they f*ck up in unbelievable ways.

    Today my cable, and thus my internet was out. I had to call my mom to get the tech support number.

    I was pleasant, polite, even cracked a couple jokes, and did everything they told me to do when they told me.(Even if I'd tried them myself before calling) They then found out there was an outage in my area.

    They told me to wait a few hours and hopefully it would be fixed by this evening, oh and for being so nice to deal with I'm giving you 2 days credit even though I don't expect this outage to last 2 days.

    Having done tech support myself, I think I was a breath of sanity on a rough day to get credits!

    As if you needed more motivation to be nice to your tech support people.
