Those of you that saw this thread I have some good news. WE FOUND THE KITTENS!!! One was in the wall and took 5 holes to find and the other was in the ceiling. One had crud in his eye that was quickly dispatched with a wet cloth and q-tip.

Usually, cats do have bigger litters, but a small litter, even an only kitten, is not unheard of."Crazy may always be open for business, but on the full moon, it has buy one get one free specials." - WishfulSpirit

As a general rule, mammals have twice as many nipples as babies. Cats have six nipples, which means three babies is average, so two wouldn't be unusual. The fact that jellyfish have survived for 650 million years despite not having brains gives hope to many people.
You would have to be incredibly dense for the world to revolve around you.

So if a mother has superfluous nipples, she'll have more babies?Quoth Aragarthiel View PostAs a general rule, mammals have twice as many nipples as babies. Cats have six nipples, which means three babies is average, so two wouldn't be unusual.

I guess cattle are the exception. From what I've seen, it's normal for a cow to have 4 nipples, but "your cow had twins" is considered fighting words (single births are the rule, "twins" among open-range cattle usually means that there's another cow bawling for its lost calf - and the calf-less cow and the one with twins are NEVER wearing the same brand).Quoth Aragarthiel View PostAs a general rule, mammals have twice as many nipples as babies.Any fool can piss on the floor. I think so too, because the rule seems to apply with all other mammals. Maybe once upon a time cows used to have twins more than singles, and they never lost their extra nipples?Quoth wolfie View PostI guess cattle are the exception. The fact that jellyfish have survived for 650 million years despite not having brains gives hope to many people.
