I'm inclined to agree, though I might argue that Pluto and Charon are a set of binary planets, orbiting each other as they orbit the sun.
Ooooooh, the probe is set to phone home and start sending back data from its closest approach at around 1 am my time. I am SO gonna be glued to NASA's website, the first pics should be just stunning. Hell, the pics we've already got are stunning, and they don't have anything like the detail the closest approach pics will.
And in just a few more weeks, we'll get another set of pics from Dawn as it orbits Ceres. Maybe we'll finally figure out what all those shiny spots are. I so want them to be something more boggling than just ice or salt.
As if that wasn't enough.... We'll probably hear more from Philae as it and Rosetta accompany comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko closer to the sun and things get more active there. Evidence of photosynthesis as the comet warms up will not surprise me overly much. And even if Philae remains incommunicado, Rosetta will still be busily gathering data and sending it home until the comet gets too close to the sun. You're only delaying the inevitable, you run at your own expense. I would ask what it's like there but from playing Minecraft's Galacticraft, and going to the asteroid area (the current farthest place you can go) I have an idea.
It is so dark, and so quiet, and there is so much SPACE. You look back at where you think earth is, and go, "Oh, sh*t."
