  • Kink Is, In Fact, Alive

    Howdy, all,

I should have probably come over here a long time and told you all where I am. It wasn't my intention to completely fall off the earth, but it kind of gradually happened over time. I'm sorry about that.

I've been writing full time now, and have published a couple of novels, so as such trying to curtail some of my time spent on message boards.

Also, my husband was diagnosed with cancer last year. He's doing much better, and at the moment is cancer free, but it's been a brutal several months for my family. This summer was much better, and we've been making up for lost time.

Anyways, I'll come by periodically and say hi. I'm keeping up with several CS folks on Facebook, so if you're on there, pm me and we can talk there, if you like.

    Take care,
    Kink

Thanks, Raps. I didn't talk about it much. Hard to talk about something like that. He's doing well, now, though.

Thanks, all. Hugs back! He's really doing much better. He has to do maintenance chemo twice a month, but he's getting his strength back and is at this moment cancer free. A lot has changed in our lives since I was on here regularly, some awesome, some not so much. That's life. It's okay. :-)

I've been wondering what happened to you, Kink.

Sorry to hear about your hubs . . . that royally sucks.

Sending good thoughts that his recovery continues. And when you can, you need to fill us in on what's been going on (as much as you're comfortable sharing, that is.)

Sorry for the bad news, but thrilled for the good! What name do you write under? I'd like to check out your stuff or friend you on Goodreads or whatnot.

I'm find telling people at this point. He had colon cancer metastasized to his liver. Not in his lymph nodes, but still pretty freaking bad. He responded very well to the treatment and is cancer free right now. The drugs for that sort of cancer are pretty brutal and he's recovering from the effects of them. But he's doing very well so far. His hair has grown back and his fingernails are growing out (chemo messes up your nails, too.) He's got some residual neuropathy that comes and goes, we're dealing with that on a day to day basis. But life's a hell of a lot better than it was last October. I wanted a killer meteor to hit the earth then. I was pretty sure one had.

I write under Regina Shelley. I'm on Goodreads and on Wattpad. Have another book coming out HOPEFULLY this week or next. Keep fingers crossed.

I'm glad your husband is doing better. Here's hoping he stays cancer-free.

I'm glad you're doing better, too. It's good to see you back.
