Awww no fun stress release for slicey

So there was suppose to be a Humans Vs Zombies event starting this Monday.

But two weeks ago there was a shooting on campus. Apparently instead of changing the parameters of the event so that we could only use balled up socks as a 'weapon', which is an acceptable weapon according to the rules, instead of socks and nerf guns so that the event could stay in place and provide what it is there to provide, a fun little bit of stress release around midterms, they cancelled it.

And instead of sending out of a blast email to all the people who signed up to participate, which required us giving our emails, they only posted the cancellation on Facebook. Which I do not partake in and many others might not partake in as well.

They aren't planning on cancelling the spring event or anything. just the fall one.

Well, seems like the shooting got them spooked, to say the least.

They're afraid that something that's fun-scary could turn into something that's life-threatening-scary. After all, we all want to be around to celebrate next Halloween, don't we?

Although the blast-email would have been better than just putting up the announcement on Facebook.

yeah that's the one thing that really bugged me, not that they ignored options available to them, its that they didnt really let anyone know
