  • The "Missing You" Thread

Halloween/Samhain/All Saints/All Souls/Day of the Dead is almost here, and I get nostalgic and start missing people and critters...

So I thought this could be a place where anyone who wants to can post a brief "miss you" for a loved one who is no longer with us. Could be a person (or persons), could be a pet. You can post more than once if you want. And if this is something that would upset you or you're just not into it, feel free to skip it, I don't want to hurt anyone.

    To begin:

Mark: I miss you soooo much. How did time pass so quickly? It's been 7 years, and it feels like only a couple of days. So many things I wish I could tell you! I hope you're flying free.
When you start at zero, everything's progress.

I always miss my Dad this time of year. His birthday is the 30th. He's been gone 24 years, but I still miss him.

Mine, too. Dad's been gone about 8 years now -- his birthday is tomorrow.

Seems to be a trend. I miss my father-in-law. Passed away a few years ago, and was laid to rest on Halloween. My wife used to go all-out decorating. Now, we don't even stay home for the trick-or-treaters anymore...

I miss my grandmother, too. She was always there for me.

I miss my husband Ian. It nearly 7 years now but Christmas still hurts a little.

I miss my kitty Elsie, Halloween just isn't the same without a black cat.

My sister passed away over 14 years ago, and I still miss her. She was the best life teacher I ever had <3
