Fuck you, genocide run (language)

So I was browsing Steam last Saturday and noticed Undertale was only $10. I related this to Al who said to go ahead and buy it--we had both heard rave reviews of it.

We, or should I say, he, are doing the pacifist route.

But...we got curious.

So we Youtubed the genocide run.




Yeah, never do that.

That shit is DARK. So much so, in fact, that we only got halfway through the 1 hour video, it disturbed us that much. Did anyone else get curious and just...for lack of a better word, WILT at what was and had gone on if you chose the genocide run?



So now here we are, trying to figure out how to do the pacifist route without killing a certain person near/at the end.

(I am sure hoping a true reset works, I want to experience this game. But not the genocide run, hell no!)

That game is absolutely amazing. It also messes with you. Like if you die then you remember being killed by people, or if you start off neutral or genocide and change your mind then you have memories of killing people and sometimes tell them. The level of detail to it between saving and restarting and trying different methods (full genocide, kill those you contact only, neutral and pacifist) is just outstanding. And if you do complete full pacifist, the feel goods just... just spill over. All the feel good.

I've been told even if you are a pacifist you MUST fight in the final battle and then do some kind of do-over where you get the real pacifist ending.

Also it took me a while to get the Sans and Papyrus joke.

But yes. Amazing game.

And a very...interesting thing they did with Sans if you do a genocide run. Don't fuck with the comedian, they almost always come from dark places and will not hesitate to fuck your shit up if you deserve it.

Also Flowey was driven mad, I think, by the repeating cycle and went a bit...violent. What's YOUR excuse?. You learn sympathy for this demented thing in the genocide run
