  • Non-controversial, artistic aesthetic comment on the Starbucks cup...

The transition of color, to me, is too abrupt in the middle. I think it should be a smoother transition. Something about the transition doesn't look right, and to me it throws off the aesthetic a little.

They could have a color of red that starts that shade on either end and fades slight as it goes to the middle, or strong in the middle that fades to lighter red as it goes out?

Well, I actually like the colors of the transition, with the "red" at the top and the "cranberry" at the bottom (or whatever the colors actually are), I just think the transition in the middle is too abrupt.

I always have a sleeve on mine so I don't even notice it. Didn't even realize there was a change until I read about the "controversy."

People could quit bitching about shit I don't care about and enjoy what's inside the cup.

Isn't that what it's ordered for anyway?

            Me too.

Honestly, I think the current cups are just dull. Almost everyone gets a sleeve so you can't even appreciate the gradations in color. I couldn't care less about the so-called controversy, but I think that aesthetic wise, Starbucks really failed this year. Can I suggest something bedazzled for next year?

I didn't notice in the pictures that there was a gradation. They seem kind of plain, but at least they're red and green. I seem to remember some one year that had a red background with white snowflakes or something. Those were cute. Brown with gingerbread men would be nice. But whatever; they'll end up in the land fill.

Okay I never noticed the two-tone thing but now I see it after looking at pictures and I see what you're saying and now it's bugging me too. Though if you never said anything I would have been blissfully unaware so...

My (possibly controversial) artistic aesthetic comment: its a (disposable) cup and its red....

But is Starbuck's. What's inside tends to be worse.
