Does he like puzzles? 3-D puzzles are incredibly impressive. I think I bought one for my brother-in-law once.
Tangrams, mostly, and we found a few things where you get certain shapes, and you have cards with other shapes on them, and you have to make the shape.

    I don't think he'd do well with a 3d puzzle.

All I've done, so far, is get a bottle of wine for my sister. I might start next week.

I'm in the middle of sweet making.
I made Root Beer Pudding Cookies for Dad, BIL, and MIL
I have crockpot candy being made right now for Sisters, and mom.
Then I will make peanut butter corn flake bars for Nephew and StepMIL.
        Niece gets a book.
Brother... I got him Dragon Age: Origins on Steam and let him know to check for a game. He hasn't played it, or DA2, and he's been playing Inquisition! Can't have that! How will he appreciate the cameos?!

Back when I had to get lots more gifts, I used to joke that "next year, everyone gets a bag of noodles."

And I meant store-bought, not homemade. Never did it though.

This is like the third or fourth year in a row my son has asked for "math stuff" for Christmas.

But in my house we do Christmas and Chanukkah, so we usually get him 1 gift per day for Chanukkah, and for Christmas he gets one gift from Santa, one from us, and stocking stuffers.

You know how hard it is to find "math stuff" (when it's that generic) for a 10 year old who really likes math? It's harder than you'd think...

We've kind of tried online ones. They either have a bunch of manipulatives (some we either already have or are "too young" for him) or stuff in bulk.

Lemme try to find the external drive that has my old PC back up on it. Somewhere I have a document with links and descriptions of various "toys" I either had or recommended to my 7th graders and community college students. There's actually a lot of stuff out there.

Our Christmas shopping is either done or hasn't been baked yet. I inadvertently caused boyfriend to get humorous coffee mugs for his immediate family. Oops.

Mine is all done (for the most part) but given I'm having major surgery tomorrow it was a case of having to be sorted this year. At least I'll be back home for Christmas and getting looked after by my sister, boyfriend and her partner.

We don't usually do a big Christmas these days as it's really just my kid and I now. If we lived close to other members of the family we might buy the younger set gifts, but that's about it. For my son so far I've found him a handpainted Nightmare Before Christmas bulb that he can hang year round if he wants, a toque with the Hyrule crest on it, socks with the Hyrule crest on it, and he'll be getting Steam gift cards. I usually get him something big for his birthday in the first week of February, and that works out well for us.

I am making a crocheted 10th Doctor and Rose set of dolls for a friend of mine though - she and her boyfriend are the only other folks we're exchanging gifts with this year. Everybody else gets cards, and not even the spiffy cards I send for the exchange here this year lol

Ok I added a few things...

I didn't feel like I spent enough on BF so bought him colored pencils and a couple of adult coloring books.

His boss has been awesome so we got her a couple packages of Godiva individually wrapped truffles.

I got a few things early and the rest in Black Friday deals online. The only thing I have left to do is mail the box of stuff I got for my cousin. I will do that on the 18th when I get paid.
