For example: I ordered a white hot chocolate at Starbucks one day, but received a white chocolate mocha instead. How do I know? I tasted coffee in it! My coffee-swilling friends didn't even notice!
The same thing happened at a Lindt store where we saw employees practicing their barista skills and we saw three drinks on the table that they asked us to test for them. I accidentally picked up a mocha when I thought it was white hot chocolate. I tasted coffee again, but my friend didn't. I think that he even tasted it and could not find the caffeine. It was only then that I asked what kind of drink it was, and when told it was a mocha, I discovered my ability to taste and/or smell caffeine.
I also noticed that I can hear and smell better than others, though that doesn't seem to apply to fresh, non-lilac, flowers.
What about you?
