It's already started, and so have the accidents.

Passed by somebody who hit a sign and slid up onto the curb. Also the city bus in the lane next to me slid through the intersection when the light turned red while I stopped short. Anti-lock brakes FTW.

Not too much snow here, maybe an inch, so far. Business has been slow today, though. Southern, MN, where my sister lives is different. She's shoveled the driveway twice already, and says the snow is knee deep in places. She's also worried about her 16 year old son driving home from work. His way of sub is closing at 7 because of the weather. He's a fairly new driver, but I think he'll be just fine. He's very safe, and won't take any stupid risks. At least it's only a bit over a mile drive home for him.

A LOTTA NOTHING. supposedly 5 inches of "snow" that mushed up with the above freezing temps.

Still glad I did not have to work tonight,

Eastern Colorado had major issues with blowing snow, and of course the mountains always get hit hard, but Denver was fine. About 8 inches, nothing to write home about.

It snowed and then rained and then snowed and then stopped. It's doing it again, but it's very light. At least the sun is out for my ride to work. I'll have to hike through snow to get to the bus, but I'm getting used to that.

There's something nice about being inside my cozy place watching the big snowflakes fall, knowing I don't have to go anywhere:

Reporting in from lovely, cold ass Iowa here. My car (a 2007 Chevy Impala, for reference) was basically turned into the middle of a snow drift by the last storm that came through Tuesday and Wednesday. The worst of it was, it all came down as wet heavy snow, and then froze later on, so it was hard to move. I really, truly hope that damned groundhog was right about an early spring!

A picture, looking from the house toward my car and Dad's pickup, after he'd managed a path to them, for reference:

Front range CO here, south of Wishful .
We got 20". My husband had to tow a neighbor up our hill. He also snow blowed our driveway 3x's'. My tiny town never came to plow our street, but fortunately another neighbor has big boy toys and he took care of our street.
Kids went back to school today. And my restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday, my days off......

And here in Vermont we didn't get anything and have bare ground in places. Odd winter.
