Ok right now I am only doing an analysis (as I see it) of three different types of zombies. Others may add as they wish.
1st the Night/Dawn/Day of the dead (Land of the dead is a bit different.. will get to it)
Slow, large numbers, only way to become infected is to be bit/scratched by an infected. Not reasoning, and very limited intelligence. ((Scale 0 = very minimal threat, 10 = you are gonna die without some miracle.. might take some time, but eventually it is going to happen)) Individual = 0. Medium group = 5, large group 8. Swarm = 10. Take out the brain and they do not rise again.
Land of the dead = some reasoning ability, can use objects. Individual = 5. Medium group = 8. large group = 10... swarm .. put a bullet through your own brain.
Return of the living dead = Intelligent (Can speak and reason), destroying brain and head just makes them angry. Fire, high explosives, acid or something that can totally destroy a body is needed to stop them. Individual = 8, Small group = 10, Medium group and up.. divine intervention needed. Still only way to be infected is by being bit/scratched/etc.
The walking dead Pretty much same as Night/dawn/day except anybody dying in any manner will come back if brain not destroyed.
The Return of the living dead zombies are by far the nastiest of the zombies I've encountered so far. You can totally dismember them and they will STILL be moving about. If you ever get a chance to watch the show, watch it.. burning them also just makes things worse... so there is that..
