I've been sick since Wednesday of last week, which has been rough. Since I've been unable to do much, I started watching a show on Youtube, called History Cold Case, and found it to be right up my alley. I was thoroughly fascinated by the show, which entailed the forensic anthropological discoveries of ancient individuals in various parts of Scotland and England. I've been researching my own family history, and have discovered that most of my ancestors have come from England, Scotland and Wales, and therefore, the history of those countries is much more personal. (I haven't yet found Ireland in my history, but I can only hope).

That sounds right up my alley! At home, we watch shows like History Detectives pretty avidly. I'll have to take a look, maybe tonight... Depends on if there's an Antiques Roadshow on that Da Boss hasn't seen yet.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers
