That depends via the book of the same name or the Movie with Micheal York or the short lived TV series they did a couple of years later or the proposed remake/re-boot in the future.Quoth EricKei View PostPollo --- Are you saying you're over thirty? Off to Carrousel with you!
The movie condensed the universe into a really small exsistence. The Book was much ore expanded.
Yes both had the same premiss.Last edited by Racket_Man; 06-05-2016, 10:23 AM.I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.

Ayyyup. I was referring to the movie. I did a little wiki walking on the subject, and it's got me interested in reading the book."For a musician, the SNES sound engine is like using Crayola Crayons. Nobuo Uematsu used Crayola Crayons to paint the Sistine Chapel." - Jeremy Jahns (re: "Dancing Mad")

I've got (somewhere - on film) a photo of a sign saying "Parking Permitted", with a double-headed arrow showing that it's OK to park on either side of the sign. Also in the picture, roughly 3 feet from the sign, is a fire hydrant.Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Mine is just one of my rose blooms I photographed over the years. Not really all that special.
Over on Fratching my avatar is a neat pic of my now deceased fur baby.
Other places I have a pic of a juvenile hawk that decided to perch on a fence post near some road kill. Just as I was taking pictures he turned and looked directly at me. Neat shot.Last edited by Racket_Man; 06-06-2016, 06:36 AM.I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.

Mine is one of the many, many obsolete computers I have, an Apple Lisa. Introduced in 1983, the Lisa was one of the first computers to feature a graphical user interface. Its original asking price of nearly $10,000, combined with a lack of third-party software, led to slow sales. The introduction of the original Macintosh a year later at a quarter of the price sealed its fate. A company called Sun Remarketing converted many of them to 'big-screen Macs' and sold them for several years afterwards, but eventually quite a few of them were buried in a Utah landfill.
The story of how I found my Apple Lisa is rather crazy: I was hanging around at a local computer surplus store when a couple of guys came in offering to sell the store a bunch of computers. When asked what they had, the guys rattled off the names of several vintage computers, including the Lisa.
The store employees were unwilling to buy their computers since they'd be unable to support them, so the guys asked if they could just leave them in the parking lot.
When told that some of them might be valuable, the guys replied that they just wanted them gone.
After several minutes, I poked my head out of the store, and sure enough, amongst a pile of old PC junk was the Lisa, along with its keyboard and mouse. I quickly stuffed it in the back of my car along with some other stuff, and got the hell outta Dodge.
