  • Acoustic Guitar Effects Pedal

    Hey guys

So it's The Boyfriend and I's 1 year anniversary soon. He plays percussive acoustic guitar and has mentioned wanting an effects pedal, so I reckon that's a good present to get him. Any suggestions?

I play acoustic guitar, too, but I mainly either play "unplugged" or though an amp. I don't use effects pedals, but a quick Google search turned up this one:

Percussive acoustic guitar? That's merging two complete classes of instrument (percussion and strings), and how do you accommodate an effects pedal on an acoustic guitar? The normal way to hook up a pedal is in the line between an electric guitar and an amp.

This sounds like something highly specialized, where it would be easy for someone not thouroughly familiar with it to wind up buying the wrong product.

I'd have to assume that iradney means an "acoustic/electric" guitar. One you can connect to an amplifier.

Here's a video on Percussive acoustic...

This video opens with a brief (10 seconds) demo of percussion guitar.

I can say that Sweetwater (http://www.sweetwater.com/) is a wonderful site to get stuff from.

If they ship to where you are, iradney, you are golden. They are awesome.
