  • Baptism Gift Ideas?

    Hi all,

I haven't been around much lately...hope everyone is well out there in CS land.

I was hoping y'all might have some ideas for me. My best friend's son is being baptized this Sunday, and I'm his godmother. I need ideas on what to get him.

    Other relevant details:
    • He's about 21 months old.
    • They're Lutheran (the liberal sort; they're not especially religious, either).
    • I'm not the least bit religious (she knows this), so I don't want to give something religious-themed because that just doesn't feel right.

    Any ideas are appreciated!

I don't go in for ancient wisdom
I don't believe just 'cause ideas are tenacious

Books are always a good idea, and they don't have to be religious. I've had two kids baptized and re-gifted a couple children's Bible stories books because we got so many.

(Press Here is actually a current favorite with my 22-month-old)

One nice thing we received for Mal was a Fisher-Price Nativity set. Ours was ancient and not kid-friendly to start with, but the FP one is meant to be played with. They can be pricey I think though.

It'll probably be a book...I can't remember what I got his sister (hers was three years ago).

I love Press Here. I've already given it and Mix It Up to them for Christmas last year.
