So this last weekend we went to our Sierra Vista storage unit, with the intention of getting the few pieces of furniture in it and wound up getting my boxes of books and and my box of fragile and my last haul box (from when i origanally was storing my stuff in so my mom wouldn't have to move my stuff if she finally moved like she kept saying she would) as well as some of my moms school stuff.
the reason i grabbed those last two of my boxes was 1) the fragile box wound up being a little more miss handled than I would care from and I wanted to make sure nothing was broken and 2) I only had a vague idea what was in them.
So first box is opened, the fragile one, and I find that it does contain a few of the things I expected :3 bud vases, my childhood porcelain dolls, my japanese style tea pot, and my cork tea holder with catholic iconography. What I forgot about was the owls.
THE OWLS!!
When I say the owls i mean a collection of 17 owl figurines I acquired. Made of porcelain and wood and metal. I mention the reveal to my nana, comes out to see what I'm talking about. Of course she falls in love and begins trying to find places to store them. I on the other hand, go through, find 7 i like, and put the rest to the side to be donated. Those nana takes in hand and puts on a shelf say she loves how adorabel they are. I let it happen cause it makes her happy.
She also claims 2 of my Marlene pieces I was going to donate.
I then move on going a bit through the last haul box. It has some framed post cards, my year books, some paintings and art and jewelry boxes.
In the jewelry boxes are my pocket watch necklaces (which need to have new batteries put in) and other things like my random amount of dragonfly jewelry. I go through and find a few old pieces ive out grown in maturity and the like and put those in the donation box.
But to make me more crazy I have to point out that 3 pieces I picked to definitely keep are these: My Harry Potter owl post locket, A red owl pendent and a owl pocket watch.
I feel like I have an owl problem.
