  • What is Kylo Ren's connection to book of Isaiah?

So at work the other day I see a woman with a t-shirt with Kylo Ren's ignited lightsaber, hilt up, so it look's like a cross. I forgot if it was on the back or front of the shirt but it mentioned Isaiah, as in "Isaiah x:xx". I didn't catch the exact chapter and verse.

But since it's usally a christian thing, I'm wondering, does she not know that Kylo Ren is the bad guy? How clueless is it to appropriate something from pop-culture that would espouse the opposite of what you believe in? I did a quick look at the wikipedia entry for book of Isaiah, and really don't see the connection.

Hopefully the woman was wearing the shirt ironically?

The I saw her son's shirt. I'm sure the quote was on teh front of the shirt: Judge me by my size, do you?

I'm thinking, Ok, Yoda quotes can be appropriated for a Christian ideology. The back had Yoda in a Mickey Mouse hat, in line for a ride but the sign in front of Yoda said, "you must be this tall to ride." Ok, that was a funny t-shirt.
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

    I wish porn had subtitles.

Isaiah 5:20 “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Could that be the reference? That's the only thing that comes to mind that might be a reference.

That makes sense to be on a shirt like that.
