has anyone checked out the new reboot of Westworld on HBO yet?????

This might get interesting as I am picking up little things just in the first episode and the flashes of upcoming episodes.

It's on Sky Atlantic in the UK, which sucks as I don't have it and it looks interesting

I ordered HBO just to PVR it. Haven't gotten around to watching it yet. The only thing that bothers me is, it's unlikely to have a happy ending. And I'm already feeling bad for the androids.

Two episodes later and I'm really diggin' this. I have to fast forward through some scenes, though. Wow, I mean... wow.

This is going to get interesting depending on the direction they take this.

HBO was free the last weekend and I caught the first couple of episodes. I agree Racket_Man, this will get interesting as I don't have premium channels I've found that their best material only runs on the free weekends), I'll wait for the seasonal DVD's.

Season one just ended and this is going to be bizzare to say the least AND season 2 is not due until at least early 2018.

They have paid serious homage to the original movie (2d movie was crap) Yes the 1973 movie was campy and at bit silly at times but still. The reboot is taking the basic premise of the original and giving it a REAL big twist between the androids and the humans. The nice multi-layer story telling and the cliffhanger ending is leading to ......... ??????

I just finished watching the last episode and while I don't want to spoil it for anyone, I am VERY pleased to see that my original theory about Ford was correct!

I am so curious to see where this will go.

I was curious about it and checked out the first episode. I had to quit halfway through because it was just too bizarre and it turned into porn with a story line. I've watched Rome and all the nudity it contains, but that series was damn good. Enough so for me to suck it up and deal.

I'm very curious about the paper with the girl's location that said "Park 1" and then more specific bits. Between that and the samurai fighting and the guy's "it's complicated" response to it, I almost kinda wonder if we've only seen one part of the place. I would guess this one is the main area but it could be possible.

There are sooo many unanswered questions, dangling storylines, situations, plot twists and turns, who is actually who, who is human and who is a host, etc.

I highly disagree with the notion of porn with a story. there is only ONE episode that is really like that (ep. 7 or 8). you have to remember the premise of the original movie and this series ie. humans can do ANYTHING they want without consequences.

The original movie did not have any nudity but had strong sexual suggestions

The series: The nudity in the first 6 or 7 episodes is mostly religated to the hosts in their overnight repair/diagnosis/update/memory wipe routine. Watch a few more episodes before saying porn with a storyline. pay more attention to the dialogue and setting and the story as presented (VERY important)
