  • I got a funny song parody idea right before lunch today.

Well, in the process of going to lunch. I got stuck behind a "stroller" (i.e. a person who strolls) in the building. She was on her phone, and probably didn't see me.

I'm not a stroller. But it put a thought in my head.

You know the Limp Bizkit song "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)"? Well, I thought of writing a parody of it called "Strollin'".

So, thank you, lady. Even though you were strolling because you were oblivious and I don't know if you had trouble talking and walking at the same time, and it was annoying.

I have partial parody song fragments that wander through my grey matter on occasion. I haven't been able to make a complete song out of any of them, though.

There's the D&D parody of "the Rodeo Song". There's the one suggested by my buddy S, "Goin' Postal" (the Who's "Goin' Mobile"), there's "Crabby" (Ferrel's "Happy"), and assorted others.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers

Weird Al did his own version of this called "Tacky".

Another one that I thought of for "Rollin'..." was "Bowlin'". And yes, it would be about bowling.

"Crabby" sounds like it would be awesome (and the perfect theme song for mom's "cranky old man").
