So, while I'm working on rebuilding the Pontiac's motor, I figured I'd just drive one of my other cars around.
How about the hard-luck one? The one I got dirt-cheap off the back of my wrecker as a theft-recovered car? $500, without wheels? The one that's been wrecked and rebuilt twice? (neither time my fault, one by careless driver who hit it parked, one by careless doe that wandered in front of me on a blind curve) Surely it would NEVER tempt me to throw it away by going down on me a FOURTH time in my hour of need, right?

Or maybe it's codependency?
Either way, they just finished putting it back together this week, at least there's nothing exotic about the General Motors TH-400 series transmission, there isn't a single electrical sensor in it!

How that car never managed to set itself on fire, I have no idea! First thing I did...was to rip all of that shit out and replace the entire harness. Expensive as balls, but other than the odd dirty or loose bullet connector, the wiring gremlins have been banished.
