  • Cost of jamming your hairbrush into your eyeball?

$67. I'm just posting in hopes that I'm not the only one here who's ever done this. It's one of those brushes with the boar bristles and thin nylon filaments interspersed. I was in a hurry and somehow smacked myself right in the eye. Of course it felt sore, but I saw it was red inside and then I saw it was bleeding slightly (the white of my eye). I called the optometrist and got in to see him and I'm glad to say that I missed the cornea at least. $59 for the visit and $8 for the antibiotic drops.

He said it should heal quickly; it's an abrasion and not a cut. When I got to work my boss hadn't heard my voicemails so I had to explain why I was a half hour late. I told her and she said "Beauty is pain."
"Is it hot in here to you? It's very warm, isn't it?"--Nero, probably

Glad to hear it wasn't major, that you should heal up and that you have an understanding boss.
