I giggle every time I see them do this-Quoth mjr View PostTo piggyback (heh...) off of this thread, I noticed something the other day about flat-bed trailers. They seem to have a slight "arc" to them. I'm guessing there's a reason for it (weight distribution or something), but it seemed odd to me when I noticed it.

Sarcasm dear, sarcasm. I’m well aware that dealing with civilians in any capacity will skin your faith in humanity alive, then pickle anything that remains so as to watch it shrivel up into an immortal husk thus reminding you of how dead inside you now are.

Then there's the opposite situation. One I read about in the trade press was some scrap thieves seeing a flatbed with 3 coils of sheet copper on it, and deciding to steal one. They backed their pickup up to the tail of the trailer, unchained the rearmost coil, and rolled it into the back of their pickup.
Anyone figure out WHY a flatbed big rig would only be hauling 3 coils of metal? The crooks got away on foot, with no loot.. The pickup was totalled.Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Because they probably weigh between 10 and 15 thousand pounds each? That's a guess.Quoth wolfie View PostAnyone figure out WHY a flatbed big rig would only be hauling 3 coils of metal? The crooks got away on foot, with no loot.. The pickup was totalled.
Way too heavy for a pickup truck. Considering "full size" pickups are generally considered "light duty" half-ton pickups.Skilled programmers aren't cheap. Cheap programmers aren't skilled.
