I don't remember the details, but I do remember once getting really pissed off (and ranting a bit) at a self-serve gas station about something-or-other ... and it turned out that I was in the wrong. It was about midnight, though, and I'd just gotten off work, so I will plead exhaustion for my stupid behaviour ...

I'm a little more careful now about how I handle issues and problems. Even when I ditched Aw Hell's phone service, after being a lifelong customer, I was careful not to scream at the poor schmuck who called me up to ask if there was any way they could entice me to stay (there is a job I wouldn't want, under any circumstances). I said no, there'd been too many problems over the years, and no, I didn't want to go into them yet again, I just wanted my service cancelled, thank you, goodbye.

So mine was that the microwave I bought from big box store with the logo of a price tag and I paid for the people who drive black and white cars to install it as it was going above the store no specifies on anything but the dimensions so they come out after waiting 7 days for my install I need wood to fill a gap and so the bolts will fit fine. So they leave then they can set me up for install for another day because it hasn't been closed out. I called the store after being forgotten about for 20 minutes and hung up on twice at I was at my wits end and no you are not making me wait another 5 days for an install im not having it and I will return this and do somewhere else I don't have time for that crap had everything been on the website I could have a had the wood and been ready to have the bad boy installed so I raised my voice not yelling at the store manger because at this point im not waiting and im a bit aggravated id been hung up on after spending 400 dollars on this stupid thing. Manger tells me to stop yelling at her I inform her im not yelling and if she wanted me to I could show her what yelling was yah called the installers and they got me in for the next day for install still not done correct but theres not way mount it to the top since the wood is to thick so they did mount it awkward but it works and as long as it wont fall I don't care how u get it in at this point just get it in and get out.

I'm getting there after trying to pick up a prescription for the past week. No problems whatsoever with my insurance and if there was why would the pharmacy call me the day I got it written saying it was ready? (I suspect they're submitting it to the wrong place, but the tech can't or won't tell me where they're actually submitting it)

I was to one place that delivers and installs appliances. I still feel like I had cause. They flatly refuse to honor requested time frames for their people showing up. I was told so straight out. And after talking to one or two of their people on the phone, I suspect that they even go out of their way to schedule deliveries as far OUTSIDE any requested time frame as they can. I will pay more and buy my appliances from a company that does NOT do business with this delivery/install company.

Every time Centrelink tries to screw me out of unemployment or student allowances.

It seems that they randomly like to remove my rent assistance payment or my utilities supplement. Or they send me out 3-5 copies of the same paperwork that I literally just submitted.

I generally start out okish considering it can take 3-4 days just to get more than an engaged signal on the phone and then 3-4 hours to get an actual person. But by the time I get given the wrong or conflicting info yet again, all my manners kinda start dribbling out of my brain.

lol, you guys. Mine isn't like "I was a bit of a SC, but here's why," mine is just "we were stupid." I was about 16, in Japan at a big departments store in I think Tokyo. The basement was a big food court type area. My friend and I were getting some food, and then when the employee put the container on the counter, it had a WAY higher price than it was labeled in the window. I'll give you one guess. That's right, it was by the pound (or kilogram or whatever) and we didn't notice.

Once my friend and I realized what the price really would be, we looked at each other, and silently walked away. I can still see the expression of the employee, very much disapproval. I still feel bad for perpetuating the "stupid foreigner" stereotype. We should have ponied up and paid for it, we had the money, we just didn't expect to spend that much on one meal.

Ouch, yea I could see how that could happen there.

My first port ever was Naples and we hit up Pompeii. Had a great lunch till we got the bill. I can't remember but put it over but it was stuff like they charged for the bread.
It was about $200 for the 4 of us. Thankfully someone covered my admission.

On my first trip around Europe, our tour was warned about the ..... dun dun dah dun dun ..... bread. Always the bread and the weird charges that can appear especially in cafes and restaurants around the main attractions. A couple of us used to have fun finding little cafes away from the tourist traps where the locals were eating. Had the best pizza & soft drink for less than 10 Euros in Rome while every else paid 40-50 Euros for lunch near the attractions.

After that I had a policy of going min of 2 blocks from the main drag/attraction and always had a much better meal and they appreciated we went out of our way to find them. Looking at the tourist menu boards outside of the Vatican the places by the wall were x2-3 more then the nice place 2 down and 1 over.

Some of you might remember when I went off on my former mortgage provider. I was trying to set up online banking, mostly so I could make payments from home...as the bank in question was a pain to get to, and the nearest branch was across town. Not exactly doable during my lunch hour. I did what I was supposed to, but it still didn't work. I called their 800 number, got routed to tech support...and then spent over an hour getting bounced back and forth between the same two departments. Neither one knew what was wrong or wanted to handle it. I had talked to multiple people in those departments, including a supervisor who hung up on me. Pissed off, I called back and ripped her a new one--if that was how they treated their customers, I'd be finding another bank. I was done with them--they'd already screwed up the escrow (twice), not paid my local taxes, and other crap that I had to sort

It's been over a year, and I'm still getting those "come back, we miss you" letters from them. Really? Fuck off.

Just a minor suck. I had just finished eating at a restaurant I went to regularly and I knew most of the waitresses. I had been waiting for the check for awhile and got tired of waiting. I finally walked up to the register. When the waitress walked up I said " I didn't get a check so it must be free, right? Haha!" I had been working retail for awhile so I really should have known better.
