    Having acquired a large stock of old National Geographics from the 1940s/50s/60s(10p at the local charity shop!!) some of the advertisements and features are amazing.

    One from 1951 has on the back cover a rather delicious looking giant Hormel ham. What is especially pleasing is the little strapline below...

    'Don't forget to join us for singing with the Hormel ham girls. Saturday on CBS'
