I've cried and grieved over several cats who lost their battles with life in the end. It hurt right in the heart. So I guess people can feel that way about dogs, too. You're safe here. Cry if you want to.Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

I have a cat snoring away on my lap right now. He has cancer in his throat, and his breathing is labored, plus he isn't eating much. He probably only has a couple more weeks with us.“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged.
One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world.
The other, of course, involves orcs." -- John Rogers
