  • Please help my brain...

It's 1.30 am and it won't get to sleep until it remembers this....
Programme that had an annoying little kid who had a crush on a character called Jennifer and always called her by some daft name like Fennifer? (which Yahoo brings up nothing for, but I'm sure is right....)
It's definitely a teen type programme-I thought it was Degrassi but that's not it...

Cole Sprouse, who played Ross's son on Friends, apparently had a major crush on Jennifer Aniston ... could that be what you're thinking of? No indications on the interview that I found that he mangled her name, though.

Nope...this was set in a high school I'm sure... more brains have been gathered in and they remember that possibly his name was Johnny and he gave her a present of a turtle in one episode.
      I think they're being serious....

        Any chance it's Square Pegs?

Yes, that's it! I knew it was in a book somewhere-just a question of finding which book and where I'd put it-but that confirms it. No wonder it had disappeared from my mind as it only ran for about 6 months on CBS but did star one very young Sarah Jessica Parker

I googled "80's teen shows" and looked at the show's character names and Square Pegs was the only one that had a Jennifer listed.
