Oh and you may notice this year's cards have swum the water again. I was supposed to be in Houston TX by now discovering Thanksgiving and being shunned from parties for my aversion to pumpkin. Instead I'm hoping to arrive over at the end of January/beginning of February, so in order to avoid playing chase-my-cards around the oceans, they will be sent on to me here with my Christmas presents.
*psst if you're a Houstonite, may I shamelessly plug Gold Rose candles which have been set up by a friend of mine from church during lockdown and are not only producing very nice candles, they have a darling 6-year-old who helps join in everything.So if your candle has a doodle on the label,you know who it is
. And they delivered during Thanksgiving hopping after the wife pulled her ankle going down the steps. Just at the start of the busiest time of the year.
