Got the new Phoenix Wright game and I LOVE it.

Sigh, if it weren't for bills, it would be mine as well. That's okay, it will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

I went to Gamestop on lunch today and caressed the box for Trials and Tribulations. And on the way out the door, I saw they have Super Mario Galaxy in the Wii, so I spent half my lunch hour playing it. It's freaking beautiful.

Not sure where you're located, but I've yet to play ANY Wii games because, while they have them on display, they won't give out the test controllers. This is primarily because initially, what with the shortage of Wii-chucks, people were stealing them. In any case, even though that "phase" is over, they still won't put them out.

I really want a Wii and I'm intrigued by the control system...ah well.

Gamestop around here keeps them behind the counter. Actually, at the one I went to yesterday by where I work, they have them on the display. There is a non-removable cable going out of the Wii-mote and one out of the Wii-chuk. The two cables meet on the shelf of the display, which are also secured by a locking mechanism. I assume this will be available everywhere at some point.

I can only hope. I heard it was more generic than anything, but one game that intrigued me initially was Red Steel. This was because my silly, naive head was convinced that you could deflect bullets with the samurai sword...BUT I GUESS NOT. From what I've seen, it looks like the sword combat is relatively slow and dumb. On top of that, being able to point and shoot is cool, but ah, hasn't that been in the ARCADES for years and technically, HOME SYSTEMS (Zapper, Guncon, etc.) as well? Not that big a deal...oh well.

Yeah, Lunar and Front Mission were pretty bad ass. More importantly with those...do NOT play Lunar Dragon Song

I recall giving a sermon to Kara about this game when she mentioned seeing it. A bitter, angry, disenchanted sermon full of tears and spite.

You know, Dragon Song wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't for all the suck. Oh wait. Yeah, I LOVED the other Lunar games and absolutely FORCED myself to play it...I hated it with a passion. Boss fights were the worst. You'd get in over your head in the boss fights CONVINCED you were either supposed to survive for an amount of time or die as an event...neither of which were true. Suck-tastic.

In any case, I'm loving the new Phoenix Wright AND I just picked up Growlanser: Heritage of War...good stuff, but significantly tougher than the last Growlanser. Why tougher? Well, for anyone that's played Growlanser Generations (also PS2), you know that there can be quite a lot of things going on! It's a dedicated RTS/RPG and quite fun, but can be hard.

Well, take that, now imagine that it flows seamlessly from standard 3rd person 3D characters on 2D backgrounds style RPG to battle...and it's FAST. I mean...FAST. At least in the last one, the characters moved at a relatively standard speed...in this one they RUN. It's very hard to keep track of what's going on and as a result, you have to be quite quick on your feet.

Fun, but VERY hard so far.

I Have Conquered Guitar Hero 3.

Anyway, unlocking Slash and being able to play as him may be the most gratifying thing to happen to me since beating GH2.

The ironic part about that post is that though I absolutely LOVE the first Guitar Hero, I've yet to get the second or third. All the same, I LOVE the first Karaoke Revolution, but I only have just that, too. Still, I have my DDR trainer on the computer (Stepmania) with over 2000 songs, so needless to say, I love rhythm/dance/misc games.

Yeah, everyone knows DDR is only about 500 times better than GH. I mean, check the arcades. There's never anyone at the one with a guitar. Hell, the one with drums gets more action.

Also, when the hell did they stop making, you know, actual games, and just start cranking out sequels and rythm games at the arcade. Virtual Cop 4? House of the Dead 3? DDR 12?

Speaking of arcade shooters, Time Crisis 4 with the Guncon will be on PS3 exclusively from what I understand. And If we start a guitar hero bashing here, there will be bloody heads.

Yeah, swinging those controllers around to smash them is likely to connect with a few heads, they're so large and unwieldy.

At least guitar hero is a pretty decent simulation of actual guitar playing, not a riverdancing representation on an arrowed mat meaning to simulate either dancing or ostrich mating season....
