    A Weird Halloween

    Yes, I know. Halloween is supposed to be weird. But this just takes the cake.

    I was handing out treats, specifically full size Necco Wafers.

    One preteen girl asked what they were.

    I replied, "Candy."

    She responded, "I don't like candy."

    Me: ?!?!?!?.

    Why is she out trick or treating if she doesn't like candy?

    Weird.
    "I don't have to be petty. The Universe does that for me."

    Well I noticed that some of the kids that visited me yesterday had salty snack foods. Could you visitor have been looking for that?

      Maybe she was getting candy for someone else? *shrug*
      Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

          Perhaps she just didn't like candy but still wanted to join in the trick or treat fun? Perhaps she was hoping for treats such as slices of fruit or raisins or chunks of veggie?

            Should've said "Hang on a minute" and then run back into the kitchen and got her a packet of instant oatmeal.
