I've had a box in a closet for QUITE some time now with my sister's name on it. I thought it was stuff of hers that I'd managed to rescue from our late mother's house before I left there. I planned to send it to her on her birthday or at Christmas but kept forgetting.
So today I've got her gifts wrapped and tagged and all set to go to UPS tomorrow. And I remembered the box, so went and grabbed it.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a couple of gifts intended for last year.
Or possibly the year before ... or the year before that. (I've been out of Mom's house for some time now.)
The one gift is obviously some bath bombs. The packaging (one of those wine bottle bags) has split. I have NO idea what's in the other gift but from the shape and size I suspect it's a couple of those "relaxing" colouring books, but I'm going to have to rip it open to be sure, which is too bad because the wrapping on that gift is just fine. I doubt she'll get that because I'm pretty sure she wanted those at least one year ago so they'll probably end up in the donation bin when I get around to starting another one ....
