  • I went on ebay to find a calendar and I saw bidding on several Twilight calendars going up to $50. I wish I had a Twilight calendar to sell and make mo' money. Anyway, some people are trying to "sell it now" for $65-100, but doesn't seem anyone is biting, hee.

Cause $65 for a calender would be ridiculous! But not $50.

I still wouldn't, but some people might. XD

        • My coworker's daughter is really in to twilight. She also really liked the covanant. Does anyone have any suggestions for good vampire books I could recommend? Just just recently started really reading and she's only about 14. I'd like to make some good suggestions and her mom would appreciate it, but most of the vampire books I read that I liked were from the vampire hunter point of view and I don't think that's what she's interested in

          • Charlaine Harris does the Sookie Stackhouse novels - they're very readable and were recently made into a TV series. However, the TV version is a touch adult.

            • There's always the Night World series; it's unfinished, but each book stands alone and can be read as such. They're aimed at teens, have very realistic vampires, scientifically, and have romance between well rounded characters. XD

              • I'm looking at Novelist, which is a database that you can use to find recomendations.
For teens, there is Vampire Kisses by Schreiber, Ellen. Seems to be aimed at 16 year-olds. Summary for book 3:As teen vampire twins Luna and Jagger try to trick a high school soccer star into bonding with Luna for eternity, sixteen-year-old goth girl Raven Madison and her vampire boyfriend, Alexander, strive to save him.
Sucks to be me: the all-true confessions of Mina Hamilton, Pauley, Kimberly. It seems to be another about a 16 year old girl.

Uh, can't go wrong with Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

                  • I actually used NoveList K-8 Plus. I don't know if you can just enter the site and use it, since I'm going through my library's database to use it. Though I suggest if you go to the library to ask the librarian for recommends. Probably he/she has suggetions of books he/she read or other people suggested to him/her. Some more things I found:

Vampire Island, by Griffin, Adele Summary: Siblings Maddy, Lexie, and Hudson Livingstone, who are vampire-fruit bat hybrids, struggle to adjust to living as humans in New York City while maintaining their individual vampire strengths.

The vampire in love by Sommer-Bodenburg, Angela. Summary: Tony's exciting friendship with several vampires is complicated when their creepy Cousin Olga comes to visit and pursues a crush on him.

The vanishing vampire by Lubar, David. Summary: After Sebastian faints on his way home from a late movie, he discovers that he has become a vampire, but he finds that a vampire's powers hardly compensate for the disadvantages.

The vampire's visit by Poulsen, David. Summary: Thirteen-year-old Christine, aka Salt, and her best friend Pepper spend a summer at an English mansion that just happens to house a group of renegade vampires.

                    • mauahahahahahah......

cos i love the series! thought it was cute and sweet.
but i respect the decision of others to not read the books or watch the movies.

plus, the audio book was nice to listen to... i've developed a taste for audio books in general, cos sometimes it's just nice to have someone read you a story. and i find i actually miss less that way, cos my eyes can't skip ahead like they do with regular books. but... unabridged editions only of course.

However, the TV version is a touch adult.
The book version is too, once you get into the sex scenes. back when i was in VA i use to have to talk to the local base exchange about that cos the vender kept putting them into the children's section!

The second time it happened... yes, it happened with each new edition, i had to show the sex scene pages to like 2-3 different managers until they realized.... "oh! Yeah this doesn't belong with the kiddie books!"

I guess these vampires don't drink blood because they're vegeterians. You know, it's getting sad that now adays vampires are vegetarians.

spoiler alert for those who haven't read Breaking Dawn.
Ok, So I read Twilight and skipped the next to to read Breaking Dawn. I'm at the part where Edward wants Jacob to talk to Bella about getting rid of the baby. I get that Edward is too much of an idiot that offering to kill her baby but promising she can have other babies from a human donor is beyond boneheaded. But asking Jacob to offer his "stud services"? Ok, we are now in bad fanfic territory. Though some people might argue that started on page 2 of Twilight.

Though I kind of like the Jacob point of view part of the book. Less syrupy. Though there is the heavy-handed introduction to imprinting.
