I don't 'get' the postal system.

I've got to get them in the post by Nov 16 to get international in time for Christmas. So I do, with only a week to spare. And you guys are getting them already. I somehow doubt that had I sent them early December you wouldn't be getting them till January.

Actually, since most people don't bother until sending until close to the date, the volumes go through the roof the closer you get to the time, so if you'd waited until Dec, when the majority of the mail-sending population does their thing, then yes, they'd be taking weeks extra to arrive due to delays along every step.

Well, last year I didn't send any cards until at least the end of the first week of December, and as far as I know they all got there before Christmas. So I won't worry too much about it. I'm gonna start working on mine this weekend.

Mine are about half way finished. If it stays dead at work, I should be done and plopping them in the mail directly after Thanksgiving. Maybe before if I hussle.

Rest assured, I'm working on it! I'm having so much!

I love getting them trickling in, too. I've never so looked forward to getting the mail each day! I am hanging all the cards around the wall by my desk at work. So far, it looks awesome.

Started working on my cards tonight. ...I'll just say that I apologize in advance if I wrote anything wrong/crazy/stupid on them, heh. I'm trying to keep everyone's stuff straight but it's not easy. Tuesday I'll get the black and white copies of the cartoons, and I'll scan in the originals so everyone can see the full-color versions (which will be randomly inserted into four cards, hee. I wanted them all to be color but DAMN color copies are expensive around here!) And then it's just a question of finishing buying the postage, I already have about have the envelopes stamped. Whoo, progress!
