    *snuggles Fuzzbutt* Prettykitty

McGriff's on the Hill's Prescription Diet for medical reasons and he's never turned his nose up at the stuff (current favorite is k/d wet; he vacuums it up). I can't remember what Sooty was on; stepfather would just feed her table scraps and whatever was cheap. Before McGriff gained his medical problems, he liked Trader Joe's can food (I think it was the lamb and rice variety).

Since Saydrah hasn't ran into this post, I'll tell you what she suggested to me a few months back. It's called Blue Buffalo Spa Select: Indoor. It has weight management and hairball management in the food. When you look at the price tag, it IS more expensive. But! But, once your cat gets used to the food, it won't have to eat as much of it to fill up. So in the long run you'll save money

It's very good for them. My kitty loves it. She's an older cat who doesn't move much. But after getting on that food, she's up and running around and wanting to play more o.O

      Also: That cat is preeeeeeettttttyyy!

      Pit bull-

There is no breed of dog more in need of our compassion; in need of our call to arms on their behalf; and in need of what should be the full force of our enduring sanctuary.

I've heard good things about Blue Buffalo. It's a house brand for Petsmart, I think. I had a look at it while scoping out the enemy () and the ingredients looked good, similar to Innova and Wellness.

In general I try to stay away from pet foods with corn, corn gluten, or wheat; rice, barley and oatmeal seem to agree with my kittymonsters and the doggie-beast, and potato is a good carb for them too. Chicken meal, lamb meal etc are fine (it's muscle meat, clean skin, and organ meats such as liver and heart, all fine for cats/dogs to eat); unspecified "animal" meal is a bit scary, and "byproduct meal" can be dodgy as well. You never know what's in those.

I like foods with added glucosamine for joints, "good" bacterial cultures for digestion, and yucca shidegera (a plant) that really helps with litterbox stinkies.

As I said, I'm waiting patiently over here for my Student Kibble...
