  • I'm bored...

When I get bored like this, I either dye my hair or cut it.

My current place of employment isn't any fun, so I can't dye my hair my chosen shade of Ruby Twilight.

I don't think they'd go for burgundy, either.

Both shades start out VERY intense, and I guess they're afraid that I'd scare away the old folks.

Sooooooooooooo...I'm thinking of cutting my hair. (I should anway. My work place is very dry and my hair is developing split ends.)

I'm attaching a pic of how my hair looks now, but it was taken a while ago. After I get it cut, I'll try to get a new pic.

      Ooooooh, Mongolian Cherry sounds intriguing.

My backup shade is Chocolate Cherry, but I want more red.

Eh, cut it first, get rid of the split ends, then color later.

I go for a more natural look (yeah, I'm old, so what), so I mix three colors of Feria:

        Bronze Shimmer
        Brilliant Bordeaux
        Cardinal

I end up with medium auburn leaning toward red.

I love Feria. I've tried several brands, including Revlon's Colorist, and nothing works as well, colors as deeply, or lasts as long as Feria. And I get piles of compliments, which is the best.

I used to use Feria, and quite liked the results, then I moved, and none of the stores near me seem to carry it. There's one Shopper's Drug Mart I keep forgetting to check, but it's not exactly on my regular path. I think my next day off, I'll have to make a dedicated trip. I just got my hair cut, so it's a good time to do it.

If the mongolian cherry weren't a little much for my budget (it's about $8 - $10 for a box) I'd pick it up this Friday as I'm due for a new dye job, and that colour is SOOOO pretty on me... I dunno, maybe I'll talk Sir into it...

OK, they FINALLY agreed to let me dye my hair Ruby Twilight.

                Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!

I want to get my hair cut a little bit shorter, then I'll try to get another pic up.

Yesterday I once again lightened *and* darkened my hair at the same time.

I can't wait to see what the reactions are.

( Becks helped me dye it Chocolate Covered Cherry so it is brunette and red, depending on the light.)
                  I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

I'm jealous. My hair spits out darker colors (especially red and brown) within just a few washes, even if it's permanent. My hair will only take color that is the same or lighter than my natural hair color (which is light ash blonde)....and black. Because it takes a lot to get rid of black. And I'm never having black hair again, no matter how dark I can get my skin.

I prefer being blonde, but I've had burgundy hair before (well, for a few days!) and it really made my hazel eyes pop. So did a really nice mahogony brown shade (until about a week later when it washed out and turned really light brown, and then about a month later, dark blonde).

Blas, I'm naturally a medium brown with red and honey and gold etc highlights in the summer if I'm in the sun alot, so my hair takes colour really well. I can ask my SIL what kind she uses, cause her hair doesn't take colour well either (she's a natural strawberry blond).

I want to dye my hair black, but my mommy and at least one of my sisters say that I'm some weird combination of "too pale" but "not pale enough" to carry it off.

RHPG, I'd take pics of my and Becks' hair but the colors wouldn't show up.

Maybe I should just accept my ability to carry off all shades of blonde....I know a lot of people with darker hair who end up with buttery yellow or mac and cheese colored hair when they try to bleach their hair, and I color my hair blonde and it stays bright and shiny without ever dulling out.

Becks and Bella....there is nothing wrong with having black hair and being pale. There are people who are naturally that way. More needs to be taken into consideration than just skin color. What color are your eyebrows, your eye color....etc etc.
