  • Is anyone using twitter?

I thought I was the last one to do so, but maybe I'm not.

If anyone wants to be "followers" (not friends, I suppose), feel free to send me a message and a link.

It's taking some getting used to, but I like that I can text in my updates.

How safe is Twitter? I'm very paranoid about what sites I'll visit thanks to a spyware crash I had last year. I have antivirus, but I'm still plenty careful. I won't touch sites like MySpace or Facebook (particularly since the latter's been getting whacked with hackers and viruses lately) with a thousand-foot-pole.

It seems to be pretty safe to me. You don't have to sign up as your real self if you don't want to, you don't have to put your real picture, etc.

It's a lot better than myspace/facebook. But maybe someone else can answer the question.

Twitter is safe. As long as you know to not click that link that says "Hi found this pic is this you www.randomsite/spyware.html" :P
I should guess about as safe as the msn network is?

I have one, but only use it to follow the Questionable Content twitters for amusement. Maybe someday I'll start.

As for it's safety, it's mostly just updates on your status or what you're up to and it seems much safer than any of the others.

Twitter is so much fun. I've chatted with Neil Gaiman, the woman who does makeup on Heroes, the guy who drives the Mars Rovers, and a whole slew of fictional characters via Twitter!

              I LOOOOOOOOVE Twitter.

I just followed you Joi, feel free to follow back if you get bored!

I am addicted to twitter. Sitting in traffic and see something stupid? Twitter. Find a cool website? Twitter. Got an event to pimp? Twitter #omaha.

                Yeah...I'm a twit.

                  Woot for being Twitterpated!

That's the other awesome thing about Twitter: the bizarre slang. Tweeps, Tweeple, Twitterpated, Twitterverse, Twitstream, etc. It's Tweriffic!

I've been wanting to check out Twitter but I read somewhere that the site was closed or some dumb junk like that. Can't believe everything you read.

I've got Twhirl on my home PC, and Twittelator on my iPhone. There's not a second of my day I'm not tweeting.

I like to use Splitweet--I have two Twitter accounts (one for political stuff, one for fun/personal) and Splitweet lets me post to either or both without having to sign in/sign out all the time.

I signed up for it when I saw it on The Ellen Degeneres Show. I have yet to figure it out, though.
