It used to be a game for be to take out my frustrations by going in for an IVP, and peeing on lower base in his building to see if I could get off the lower base before the radiation alarms put it in lockdown

The husband sometimes uses radioactive material in his lab work. There is a classic story about one of his former lab-mates who once managed to make his entire left hand radioactive by ignoring protocols. Legend has it that to this day (and it's been a couple years) when the radiation safety people come by to check the lab, he hides because if they get near him their Geiger counters go nuts.

I work in a place that more than likely makes the stuff Jedimaster works with, so Geiger counters and how to use them are just part of the gig. .
Once you get used to the clicking and occasional screams from them, it just sorta fades into the background. When they go nuts now, it's usually a feeling of "Oh shit - have to decontaminate" as opposed to "Oh SHIT! I'm gonna DIE!"
Have to admit the Cobalt-60 pools have a really cool blue glow to them.
And it's nice being able to save on the hydro bills by just using the natural glow of my fingers to see at night.
